Privacy Policy

SunsetSanctuary is a privately operated application for email, calendar, and personal automation. This policy explains how connected Google account data is handled. The application has no public account registration.
Information accessed
Only accounts explicitly connected through Google authorization are accessed. Depending on the permissions granted and the features enabled, this includes:
- Account identifiers and email addresses used to distinguish connected accounts.
- Gmail message and thread identifiers, senders, recipients, subjects, dates, message text, labels, and attachments or text extracted from attachments.
- Calendar lists, event details, participants, and availability used for calendar lookup.
- Authorization tokens that allow the app to access connected accounts without storing Google passwords.
How information is used
SunsetSanctuary uses this information to search connected inboxes, retrieve requested messages, classify and label email, scan messages and attachments for hazards, produce summaries and notifications, and answer calendar and scheduling questions. Connected account data is used to provide these features for the account owner.
Email organization can create and apply Gmail labels. The inbox search feature reads messages without sending email. Google permissions may allow additional actions; permission alone does not cause those actions to run.
Processing and sharing
The app runs on infrastructure controlled by its operator, using n8n workflows and an AI assistant. Automated email classification and summarization currently use a locally hosted model. Requested search results and summaries can also enter assistant conversations. If an externally hosted AI provider is selected for an assistant workflow, the relevant content can be transmitted to that provider to perform that workflow. Notifications can pass through the messaging service selected by the owner.
Google provides the connected account APIs. Service providers receive only the information needed for the enabled function. SunsetSanctuary does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI or machine-learning models. Human access is limited to the account owner and authorized administration or support, with consent where required, and legal or security obligations.
SunsetSanctuary's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Storage and protection
Authorization tokens, workflow records, processing metadata, summaries, and assistant history are stored on operator-controlled systems. Workflow records and backups may contain message content or attachment data. Public website files are kept separate from connected account data. Administrative access is restricted, and public website and Google API connections use HTTPS.
Retention and deletion
Data is retained while it supports the configured automation, conversation history, troubleshooting, or backups. There is no single automatic deletion period covering all of these stores. The operator can remove credentials, workflow records, summaries, and assistant history. Backup copies remain until those backups are removed or replaced.
To request deletion of stored connected-account data, contact tyler@atheart.engineering and identify the connected account and the data to remove. Deleting an app's stored copies does not delete the original messages or events in Google.
Your control
You can revoke SunsetSanctuary's Google access at any time from Google Account connections. Revocation prevents future authorized access but does not automatically erase data already stored by the app; request deletion separately. You can also ask the operator to disable a workflow or disconnect an account.
Website visitors
This informational website does not use advertising, analytics scripts, or tracking cookies. The web server and reverse proxy may record ordinary request information, including IP address, requested URL, timestamp, and browser information, for operation and troubleshooting.
Changes and contact
Policy updates will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes to connected-account data use will be disclosed before that new use begins, with additional consent where required.
